  • Similar to Rose, except this plant loves the winter. Grow in a pot or plant it in your garden! Often compared to jasmine because of their fragrant scent! Partial sunlight is best for these flowering shrubs. They have a vigorous growing upright growing pattern that enjoys being grown next to trees, for instance the pine tree, due to their preference for light filtered shade.
  • The High Fragrance Camellia is low maintenance after being well established. These plants can be grown an indoor or outdoor setting, so long as they are regularly watered in well drained humus rich, acidic soil and given appropriate sunlight. The blossom of the Camellia will begin to be fragrant after their second day of opening. If planted in a container, be sure to occasionally check their roots.
  • The blossom of the Camellia is peony in form and pink in color. They can be used as a fragrant floating decoration when placed in a bowl of water. Grown in hardiness zones 7, 8, and 9. Blossoms will appear mid February to April, making them mid to late season bloomers. These are cold hardy plants.

The High Fragrance Camellia is similar to peonies, gardenia, hibiscus, wisteria, plumaria, roses, mums, azalea, lavender, hydrangea, and geranium due to their delicious scent but beat others due to their low maintenance.
  • The high fragrance Camellia is deer resistant. Prune after bloom season. This shrub can get 8 to 12 feet high and 6 to 10 feet wide. It bears no fruit, and prefers cool temperatures rather than the heat of tropical climate.
